Our Story

Kimray Transportation was founded in 2016 by Raymond and Kimberly Richmond. It is based out of Somerville, OH which is strategically situated between Cincinnati, OH, Dayton, OH, and Richmond, IN. The goal of Kimray Transportation is to provide a family oriented working environment for professional owner operators. We do this by allowing our drivers to pick their own work schedule and they loads they haul. Because we are committed to safety, all drivers must have a minimum of 2 years experience and no more than 3 moving or out-of-service violations in the last 24 months.

Raymond and Kimberly Richmond live in Somerville, OH with their two dogs. Ray and Kim have been married since 2008 and they look forward to many more happy years together. Ray has been in the trucking industry since 2010. He has experience as a driver, dispatcher, broker, financial consultant, and military logistician. His hobbies include tuning and repairing pianos. Kim also has experience in truck driving and clerical support activities for a trucking company. In her spare time, she loves creating with polymer clay and spending time with family.
